2025 Year In Review
2025 was a great year for Bublr Bikes! With the start of Bublr 2.0, our small team has been working hard on expanding access to our bikeshare system. Alongside the dozen's of miles of protected bike lane added by the city, it's never been easier to integrate sustainable transportation into your life.
Winter Station Shutdown List 2025
On December 8th we will be shutting down all Wauwatosa and West Allis stations, as well as a few lower use Milwaukee stations. These stations will return to operation Spring 2026.
Thank you, Laura Bolger - Former Executive Director
Our Executive Director, Laura Bolger, has stepped down to focus on her health as she bravely battles cancer. In this post, we reflect on the impact she made at Bublr Bikes, her leadership, and the heart she brought to our mission and team.
Introducing Bublr 2.0
Bublr Bikes is doubling its station network in Milwaukee thanks to a $4.15 million investment from a federal grant and city match—its largest infrastructure boost to date. The expansion will add hundreds of new e-bikes and stations, improve access to affordable transportation, and support the city's goal of 50 miles of protected bikeways by 2026. Community feedback is encouraged via the Bublr 2.0 survey on Engage MKE. This growth strengthens Bublr’s mission to connect neighborhoods, close last-mile transit gaps, and build a more inclusive, sustainable bikeshare system.
Bublr Bikes announces new executive director
Bublr Bikes is excited to welcome Laura Bolger as its new Executive Director! Laura is a proud Milwaukeean and is passionate about Bublr and its mission to provide equitable bike share to all. Laura most recently served as the Director of Resource Development for the Greater Milwaukee Committee, and comes to Bublr with a strong background in supporting non-profits, project management, and fundraising. We are looking forward to the ride ahead!

Protected Bike Lanes = Safer Streets
Protected bike lanes make our streets safer for all road users. As Milwaukee continues to struggle with a reckless driving epidemic, Bublr's James Davies advocates for more protected bike infrastructure to make our streets safer for all users!
